 Who is Kal-Elle?  

Kal-Elle is a one woman show based in California. I started my business 5 years ago with jewelry, hair accessories, and wallets, and it grew to customizing nerd shoes & a successful fandom subscription box.  

 Is every month a surprise theme?  

 Absolutely not. I post on social media and via our monthly newsletter what themes will be.  They are released 3 months at a time.  

 It's the 29th of the month & I've seen next month's boxes are already out. Why is that?

 When choosing what time of month I was going to send out boxes I had to do a lot of research and give it a lot of thought. Some companies send their boxes in waves (groups at a time, all on different days) and I didn't want to do that because I didn't want box content on social media to spoil it for others. I finally decided on closing orders on the 22nd of each month so I can send them out by the 27th. I ship globally and want everyone to have their box at the start of the following month. I do realize that people living closest to me get theirs first (within the month prior to the actual box month), but there's nothing I can do to control when people receive their boxes due to shipping.  

 I own a shop and make items that I'd love to have featured in the box. How do I do that?  

 Great question! I love collaborating with other small businesses & feature at least one (sometimes more!) handmade item in each box. Send me an email and we'll go from there. 

 I got charged a custom fee when getting my package. What is this?

Kal-Elle is not responsible for an custom fees.  Generally, buyers pay the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. Import charges can vary widely but are most commonly based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country. 

How do I buy items in past boxes, but not the entire box?

 That's a 'hit or miss' kinda thing. Sometimes I'll purge extra items by having a sale on my social media outlets; Facebook or Instagram. But often times I sell out and there are zero extras. The only way to be sure you'll get any box content is to subscribe and read our newsletters.  If there are any extra boxes for the month they will be available in the "Shop" section  and will be available one week after boxes have been sent out. 

I'm not interested in the next theme can I skip a month?

Absolutely.  To skip a month head to the "edit" section when you login to your account and hit skip.  You can skip multiple months at a time if needed.  If you have pre-paid subscription sadly skipping isn't an option as shipping labels have been populated for these shipments.  


I forgot to cancel my subscription and it renewed. Can I cancel and get a refund?

Once your subscription has re-newed refunds are not issued.  Apologies for any inconvenience, but with the volume of subscribers we cannot issue these.  Once you cancel your subscription you will no longer be charged. 

I paid for a 3 month/6 month/12 month prepaid subscription.  If I cancel can I get my money back? Can I skip themes when I pre-pay

Once you have subscribed and have been charged no refunds are given. If you happen to cancel you will not be charged again once your prepaid subscription is done.  Sadly the skipping option  isn't available when you pre-pay for a certain amount of months. I know this is an inconvenience and I apologize.

I change my mind and want a refund.

Once you have signed up and are charged a shipment has already been generated and refunds are not given. I know this might be an inconvenience and we apologize. 

My address has changed and I just got a shipping notification.

Once you receive a shipping notification boxes have already been dropped off at the post office.  If a box is returned, buyer (You) are responsible for paying return shipping to get your package. 

My tracking number shows my package is delivered, but I can't find it.

Once a tracking number shows that a package has been delivered, there is nothing that we can do, refund cannot be given.  Please contact your local post office and see if they can offer any help.   Please take a look around your front door as the postal service worker may have hid it under/behind rocks, bushes, etc.
